Lucy CamputaroLucy Camputaro is Toronto based artist who studied Fine Art at the University of Toronto and Photography at Humber College. She has worked as a photographer in Toronto for and has subsequently completed her Bachelor of Education. She is currently teaching, as well as working in her studio creating. Her work can be found in many collections across North America. She has also been exhibited in and around the Toronto area and is currently represented at Canvas Gallery in Toronto.
Artist Statement
I feel that my art is a reflection of my soul, the sole expression of my spirit, and at other times, I sense that it is the physical reflection of this world on me. If I accentuate the simple and natural beauty of life, spiritual survival as it is interwoven with the menial tasks of everyday existence, it is in these that I see the most splendour.
The vibration of pure intense light or dark and the dynamic synergy of a distinctive perspective are the means of my expressing the energy which I perceive in the images in which I am directed to capture. My intent being to share my vision of this energetic essence that underlies all that we know as reality so that it is possible to become aware of the beautiful and balancing experience of perceiving from both our spiritual and physical natures.
