Kim Chan
A photographer turned painter, Kim Chan paints large canvases of figures with varying degrees of abstraction. She’s drawn to images of people in a fleeting moment rendering a blur, an ambiguity. These images are often manipulated and distorted to evoke a less tangible reality. It’s an attempt to discover the innate lyricism of distortion.

Kim shows her paintings in different galleries in Toronto, and has works in numerous private collections. She lives in Toronto with her husband and her son.
