Joanna Strong
Joanna grew up in Newfoundland, and attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. After graduating in 1992 with a BFA, Joanna moved back to Newfoundland and continued to paint, while working at Eastern Edge Gallery. She received a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo in 1996.

The immediacy and physicality of painting continue to make it her primary way of expressing her perceptions of the world. Joanna now lives and paints in Toronto.
