Diana Braun-Woodbury
A self-taught painter with a background in technical illustration, graphic design and colour theory, Diana Braun-Woodbury has exhibited her work regularly in the Toronto area since 2002.
For several years Diana has explored vessels as a central subject in her work. Simultaneously used as graphic elements and representational objects, the artist’s vessels provide an anchor for explorations of rich texture, elemental forms, and complex colour relationships. Subtle lighting cues add mystery and three-dimensional depth to the work.
Diana is a founding member of Eastern Front Artists Centre (March 2003- December 2007), where she served as board chair, gallery administrator, and co-curator on juried shows. She is currently furthering her art education at Toronto School of Art.
